Nick joined Ingraham & Pautienus as an associate of the firm in 2005, shortly after being admitted to practice law by the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Nick is now a member of Ingraham, Pautienus & Tidwell, PLLC. Nick holds membership in the Tennessee Bar Association, Christian Legal Society, and Education Law Association. EDUCATION - Nick graduated summa cum laude from Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) in Nacogdoches, Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2001. He also received an additional diploma from the University's School of Honors. During his time at SFA, he served as member and president of the Pre-Law Club, an associate justice on the University's Supreme Court, a student worker for the physical plant, and an intern for a district judge. Honors he received while at SFA included being named the 2001 General Business Department's student of the year, being elected in the business honors fraternity Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honors fraternity Alpha Chi, and being voted one of the five best speakers in the State of Texas for the Texas Undergraduate Moot Court Association. Nick earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee College of Law in December 2004 and subsequently passed the February 2005 Tennessee Bar Exam. While at UT Law School, he was involved as a member and president of the law school's Christian Legal Society chapter, assisted with the Pro Bono Homeless Project, worked as a research assistant to a professor and clerked for a local attorney. He received the Academic Excellence award for his work in Trial Practice and Advanced Ethics. PRACTICE - Nick has worked in all areas of the firm's practice. He has served clients with needs for Last Wills and Testaments and other estate planning instruments, business planning and litigation, probate and probate litigation, non-profit corporation and church representation, and personal injury cases. PERSONAL - Nick is married to Kristin Deshae Tidwell, who teaches ESL to elementary children in a neighboring county. They are actively involved in various ministry projects with their church, including mission trips and the middle school ministry. Nick serves as a Board Member for Christian Women's Job Corps of Middle Tennessee, a member of the Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes Run 4 Kids Committee, a middle school Sunday school director/teacher at church, and a Compassion International Advocate.
